Going Out with European Women - Getting To Know The Parents

There are different stages to every relationship and it certainly is the same with European women. You begin with the “learning more about each other” period. Then next is the romantic stage where you become more attached and intimate to each other. And after that, maybe you would already wish to tie the knot? Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. You’re going to have to meet your future bride’s parents and family before you can even make plans for the wedding, particularly with European women.

Most Europeans value their families beyond anything else, so you are going to have to make an effort and take time to understand them. This is even more true about Ukrainian or Russian girls. This will be the family that you’re planning to marry into so it’s kind of a big deal and, naturally, you have to put your best foot forward.

It does sound a bit stressful, especially if you’re a foreigner but don’t worry because here are a handful of tips for you to think about before meeting the parents of the woman of your dreams.

Tip # 1: Be Nice

When you date women from Eastern Europe you probably already know that they like men who are suitably casual, but still have a degree of style to their outfits. The same opts for the parents. Although they may not be surprised when you pair stripes and spots in one outfit, what they will be more worried of is if you’re a “fit” enough man for their daughter to have in her life. Just see to it that you portray this with your image and looks. Get a haircut if needed.

Tip # 2: Follow the traditions

Giving gifts is a tradition in most European countries. One great choice is a bouquet of flowers for her mom. Every European woman would wish to receive such beautiful flower arrangements, so this is one of the best ways to impress your future mother-in-law.

For her dad, you can give a bottle of wine or spirits as a gift. He will definitely love it and he may even ask you to share a few glasses of liquor on that same night.

Tip # 3: Be expressive

Parents would always feel happy and proud if others let them know that they did a great job in raising their children. You should convey this politely. Give compliments, be expressive, and let them know and see just how much you love their daughter. This just demonstrates how well you know her and how genuine your intentions and interests are.

Tip # 4: Work on your natural charm

Charm can be worked on even when you are not that good-looking. It’s easy. Just feel and look confident and talk logically all throughout your date. Don’t be silent, instead, offer to help, ask questions, pay compliments, socialize and so forth. If you do that, they will certainly like you.

Most significantly, just be true to yourself. You do not need to overdo things. If you can show them how sincere you are, then you will be adored and blessed.
